Dubravka Tomsic

Early on, IPO planned to issue a series of recordings by some greatly undervalued classical players. While we never fully implemented the project, we had the opportunity to record the superb Slovenian pianist, Dubravka Tomsic, in some ideal acoustic settings engineered by Tim Martyn, one of the best producers and sound engineers in the classical arena.



Considered a pianist of legendary stature in many countries, Dubravka has given recitals to great critical acclaim in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Budapest, Madrid, Rome and in many cities throughout the United States, and has performed with the major symphony orchestras around the world. Artur Rubenstein, with whom she studied privately after graduating from the Juilliard School, described her as "a perfect pianist" and in his memoirs, “My Many Years,” wrote a glowing account of her debut recital at Carnegie Hall.
